Description

Over two days you will create a large, traditional log basket designed to last a lifetime. We will begin with a strong round base, where you will learn how to make hidden joins that give strength and a clean finish. From there you will explore a variety of willow weaving techniques, using different weaves to build tall, elegant sides. I will guide you through each stage, encouraging you to experiment with patterns so your basket reflects your own style. To complete the piece, you will turn down the side stakes to form a strong border, then add twisted handles for both beauty and function.
